| Best game of the series....period. |
It is now 2007 and, to this day, I still tell everyone to buy this game. I've been playing Madden since 1994 on Super Nintendo. Madden has come along ways since then obviously and it peaked in 05. Here is the way I see it.
Madden:
-94' - 01' : Great games, but a bit old.
-02' : My second favorite Madden game of all time...many flaws though.
-03' : They started adding more offensive features and corrected many of the previous flaws.
-04' : I personally don't like 04'. They improved on some of the flaws but made the game WAY too offensively based. If there's single coverage, you can throw it deep downfieled and catch 75% of the passes easily.
-05' : In realizing their mistake, EA came back with the most amazing game, Madden 05'. Much more defensively based and much more realistic. With games like 17-14 instead of 04' where it was 54-42. If you like a shootout, go with 04. If you like realistic football action, go with 05.
-06' - 07' : I personally don't care for the passing cone, and haven't been able to get into the newer games, so I'm sticking with 05!! YEAH! |

| More Good Stuff than Bad |
Madden 05 is a great game, but there are still some problems.
GOOD STUFF
1. The graphics are amazing!
2. Al Michaels and John Madden have more(and better) comments on the game.
3. The brand-new "Hit Stick" makes forced fumbles more frequent.
4. The instant replay is much improved and very good.
5. Managing the teams is very easy.
6. The playbook has practically every play.
7. The computer is easy or hard to beat which is good.
8. There are a lot more cheats.
9. John Madden gives good advice.
10. The Player Stats are pretty accurate.
BAD STUFF
1. The refs practically call no penalties, even if you have penalties on full.
2. The players want way too much money.
3. The salary cap is annoying.
This is a good game to buy. It is very good and it is addicting. Pretty good! |

| GREAT GREAT GAME VERY ADDICTIVE |
This is a great game to play. It's one of the best football games other than madden 2006. I'm glad I got this game, the controls are really easy in this one. I like the new C hit stick use that and get harder hits and tackels. The franchise mode is excellent, the graphics are good and very addictive to play. I play this game almost everynight before I go to bed and catch myself playing for at least 2 to 4 hours straight. It's an awesome game so go get it to add to your madden collection. |

| Madden is the BEST!! |
Madden NFL 2005 is without a doubt the best football game of all time. It has extremely good graphics and it is very interactive. In this game they added a couple of new features such as the "Hit Stick". For Gamecube you push the c-stick downwards and watch the slam-fest begin. Probably 10% of the time you can force a fumble and recover for a touchdown, SWEET. In the remodified franchise mode you can listen to a very annoying radio show by Tony Bruno or just listen to the sound track (go with the sound track). There is all new owner mode in which you can set prices for your tickets. Another coll thing is create a fan mode. You get to create your own fans for the new three-d cut scenes. There is also new practice mode where you can practice certain plays that aren't up to standard when you play your games ( rember this is only in franchise mode)Just as I said above, Madden is the Best!! |
