This is probly the best game ive ever played. I really dont see anything about this game that you can even insult. The story line, the graphics the coontrols and the characters are all perfect. seriously they couldnt have made this game any better. It slaughters every other grand theft auto on the market. Every thing about it is great. Buy this game |

| nothing new |
so i went to walmart opening day, and as usual there were plenty of copies on the shelf, so i asked the guy to get a copy for me, payed my $60 and was on my way home.(i read no reviews, just followed instinct with previous gta games and general hype) so when i got home and started playing i said "wow" and i was having a good time until after 50 hrs into the game i felt like i have done everything as well as the game is telling me to do the same thing over and over. I felt like vice city or san andreas were good from start to finish, but with gta 4 im about halfway through and i feel like stopping already. I did some multiplayer on xbox live and found as usual sum typical guy trying to act "hard" and "gangster" like its his life or sumthing...and another guy saying its his right to "swear" because its grand theft auto..
-missions get repettive/boring
-plot is very dull
-character models are mediocre compared to gears of war/halo/assassings creed graphics.(so why lie?)
-this was another overhyped game...
Thing is these days companies are just trying to sell games and care less about the final product. This could have been "THE GAME" but its not and then you see people still acting like its the apocolypse of all games...but i guess thats how this world will always be..a big lie...a big hype.
bottom line: its an ok game, but nothing to get excited about.

| Great But... |
They keep frontin on Connecticut! Where is our litte piece? Aside from that, the graphics are mind blowing! I wonder how much better graphics can be after this? The Wii cna it's Gamecube insides cannot even think about handling even half of these graphics!
The only problems I have are the graphics are kind of dark and have a little bit of a soft tone a lot of times. It could be to juggle the resolution. This is a must have. It is a game like this that brings the Wiik graphics of the Wii to a hard-core reality! When you want to play REAL games, you need a 360 or a PS3. |

| Ironing out the flaws, a great game! |
So as much as I love this game, what are the "flaws" I mentioned in the title? Well, let me start off with the bad news first:
-The vehicle control sucks. Every time you try to stop the car, it spins around. This is really frustrating, becaus sometimes you'll try to stop yourself from getting a wanted level.
-The hand-to-hand combat system is a real joke. You can seriously play through the hand-to-hand combat parts blind-folded. All you have to do is smash the X button several times. The character moves on his own.
-The game is a bit too short. About 6 hours in, you're already halfway through.
So why did I give this game 4 stars? Well, here goes:
-The graphics are amazing. They look realistic, and are a HUGE step up from GTA 1-3, VC, SA, and LCS.
-The voice acting is incredible! Niko sounds amazing, as does Michelle.
-The music is great too, especially the intro music.
-The gameplay is great, although a bit repetitive, still very great.
-The ending is the best video game ending in years.
Allthogether, if you look past the flaws, then this is an amazing game, and GTA in its top form. |
