| Cheap, Durable, Timeless Toy |
My 3-year-old has cerebral palsy, so I'm always on the lookout for toys that are both fun and therapeutic. She really enjoyed humming into one of those party noisemakers, because she couldn't quite blow hard enough to make it work properly. That gave me the idea to get a kazoo, and the plus side is that the vibrations would help stimulate her eating muscles.
I was surprised at how difficult it was to find kazoos locally, but Amazon came to the rescue again. These kazoos are durable and inexpensive enough that we don't cringe when our toddler uses it in ways it wasn't intended. In a musical family like ours, it helps her to be part of the action. It has been a lot of fun, and has lasted a lot longer than some more expensive toys. I highly recommend it for any child (and parent) who loves music.
