| Finally Upgraded from Pro 2004 to Premier 2007 |
I don't know what we were waiting for (except maybe to give Intuit more time to work the bugs out). We purchased the Contractor's edition of 2007, and the changes over 2004 are very good. I've also used 2006, and like this edition even better. Instead of having to switch between pages, everything you need is on the home screen, which you can customize to your own liking. (I still need to work on that some more.) That makes this edition much more user-friendly.
The upgrade was seamless -- so much so, in fact, that I inherited all of the messy stuff created by previous bookkeepers. I had a little inside help from my brother, who works for Intuit. I'm enjoying learning all of the possibilities for integrating all of my tasks (tracking expenses for various projects separately in Excel will hopefully go by the wayside soon!).
Thanks, Intuit, for a great product! And of course, Amazon's customer service was awesome as always! |

| Not what we were looking for... |
This software seems easy to use, however I thought it would benifit an independant contractor more. The only thing that would have been semi-helpful is estimates and invoices but those things could be easily accomplished in an Excel Spreadsheet for a lot less $. |

| contractors edition - read the small print |
In the description this product states "good for up to 5 users" - TRUE -- But only one user at a time. Guess that part was written in the tiny legalese stuff that nobody reads. So we had to buy additional licenses at $350 a pop - about the same price that we paid for the program. Felt like I got ripped off as I wanted to use in my office where 3 of us need to use it at the same time, like during normal business hours!!!! |
