There is still a place for DOS in the computing world - older
systems, with limited resources, that are doing basic word
processing, database management, text-only Internet access,
and telemetry support - and PC DOS 2000 is the perfect OS
to keep these machines chugging along ... Y2K compliancy,
new programming, ease of use, and many utilities.
Just a comment on the Warning! review by Dr. Ronald Gibbons -
IBM makes it very clear that they do NOT recommend using
PC DOS 2000 with Win95 or Win98.
The following is quoted from IBM's FAQ page
"Can I run PC DOS 2000 with Windows 95 / Windows 98?"
"Unlike Windows 3.x which requires a separate operating
system (DOS), Windows 95 and Windows 98 have combined
DOS and Windows into an integrated product. It is not
recommended that you install PC DOS 2000 on a system
running Windows 95 or Windows 98."
