This camera worked right out of the box for making videos. However, when I plugged it into the USB port the problems started.
I could write volumes but I'll just say that after spending several days trying to get it to work I finally decided that you really do get what you pay for.
I returned it today for a refund.

Pretty easy to use, no problems at all. I found that other reviewers complain a little bit about software and the like, but I found no problems whatsoever. I got my kids to use it to tape (or is there a better word?...) scenes from their daily lives. They found no problems either.
Perhaps it would be nice if one could find a way to choose the resolution of the compressed files for e-mailing or storing, that part of the software is somewhat limited, but I think that this would be a great addition. |

To me, the 5-star reviews are right. The picture quality is quite good, even in the house. User instructions are very clear and direct, something rare with many products. Construction feels solid, and it looks good. One reviewer labeled it, "Amazing". I agree. |

| My first attempt at video |
This video camera is idiot-proof. And the quality is amazing. Just don't forget that to edit your videos, you have to plug the camera into your computer. Well worth the money!!! |

| Great Purchase |
Purchased this camera for my husband. We've used it a lot already; don't have to purchase cd's or tapes, batteries last a long time. I am very pleased overall -- the only thing I would change is putting a pause button to have one long video instead of several small ones. Very easy to transfer to other media and very easy to view via television set. |
