| Great, head bangin' metal! |
If you're reading this review, it must mean that you're at least semi-interested in the cartoon band "Dethklok" So hopefully this review convinces you to look even further into the world's most brutal of all bands.
If you're a fan of metal, then you should probably check this album out. Great Guitar riffs, pounding Drums, and hilarious lyrics, (if you can understand them) much in the vein of "Primus" as far as weirdness goes.
The musicianship on this album is top notch, with great playing all around, so if you like technical metal, this album is a wet dream. A few tracks were omitted for unknown reasons, such as "Crush my Battle Opponents Balls" "Sewn Back Together" and Dr. Rockso's song about Cocaine.
It's hard to choose highlights from the album, since the album has songs that all sound pretty similar, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. So I recommend checking out every track for yourself, and making your own judgment. If you, like me, love epic sounding tracks, definitely check out "Dethharmonic" "Go into the Water" and "Thunderhorse"
I also recommend checking out the show of which this album is the soundtrack to "Metalocalypse" It's quite hilarious.
I DO COCAINE!

| OMFG!!!! THIS IS F....... AWESOME> |
There is no better feeling in the world than driving around Beverly Hills and watching all the snobby stuck up people staring at you while you are listening to the greatest death metal album of all time. Sometimes i can't hear what Nathan is singing. Not sure if it's my car or what. But it doesnt matter, its great. |

| Brendon Small Rocks |
I think the show Metalacolypse is a riot. Its this generations' Spinal Tap. I love the whole concept of the show. Even without considering that the show is a total goof on all things metal and that the lyrics are way over the top, the Dethalbum is a hell of an album. Brendon Small is very talented since he plays most of the instruments himself, wrote all the songs, and does all the vocals as well. Normally I don't like death metal mainly because of the vocals but I can understand most of what he says even without reading the lyrics. The vocals fit the style of the music and the mood of the show. He put together an album that not only rocks but is hysterical. I defy anyone not to laugh after they read/hear the lyrics to "Fansong" and "Face Fisted". I almost cramped up from laughing so hard. If you want to hear a solid death metal album this one delivers or if you want to just laugh your butt off your covered too. It rocks without being serious and that is pretty rare. I just hope he does another one. |
