I have been an avid follower of the New Age movement for about 7 years now, including The Secret. I'm a 30-something year old straight guy, and I even watched the two Oprah episodes on it. I was mesmerized by it all, and did everything it said to do (including "taking action". I did this to the point of exhaustion). I meditated, visualized, "felt it", focused on the end result, focused on gratitude and everything. I avoided any criticisms of the Secret, and tried to surround myself with like-minded people. People that when I think about it, I found to be boring, shallow and afraid of their own shadows.
Now I have been reading people's criticisms of the whole thing, and I must say, many make a lot of sense. Learning more about the so-called "experts" in the film, only makes me run away faster.

I'm done with this. My life is no better than it was, and I have not really enjoyed the new age ride very much.
To the people will tell me I just didn't have enough faith, "it was just under the surface" or something to that effect, I take those words with a huge grain of salt, since you don't know me or what I have done.

I can get more Universal wisdom out of a Frank Zappa album that I can any of this.
To the believers...as you are now, so once was I. I hope it's working out for you.

I really enjoyed The Secret on CD. I took it on vacation and it made a long drive fly by. I think having the book on CD makes it easy to check in with it, so if your having difficulties in one area you could play that chapter and refocus. I hope that everyone can employe the law of attraction to their lives, I personally believe that it works.

This was a great and inspiring video to watch. I would advise everyone to watch it and try to apply what it says, It's been working for me so far and life feels great

My husband and I both found "The Secret" to be wonderful. We watch it over and over. If we can live our lives just half as well as is suggested we will be better people. As for the "power of attraction", to me that's an added bonus, and one that has worked somewhat but we are still working on it. It has helped me to be stronger in my faith.
