Bellydance Basics and Beyond: Technique for a Solid Foundation

This is a must have for anyone that is interested in belly dancing. If your looking for weightloss or just wanting to learning the dance! As we all know posture is everything in dance and I like that Jenna reminds you of it continuously. If your like me and are not too good at keeping yourself in good posture, that by itself is a good workout! On the menu screen she has EVERYTHING broken down (her intro, posture & arms, warmup, etc.). You can tell she really knows her stuff and really explains everything well! Its like having a personal dance instructor in you own livingroom!
I also like that in her dance routine with her students, that you don't have to already be a skinny risqué looking girl to learn to bellydance. Even though you may not be the thinnest, you can still dance and look attractive!
I highly recomend this DVD! It really is a total body workout!

this was my first intro to bellydancing. jenna is a great dancer, with a no nonsense respectful approach to this art form. i get the impression that she loves her job. there are easier dvd's out there for a beginner, but this is doable. it just takes practice. it took me roughly 3 months from warm up through to the presentation. but i got it down now and it really does a number on your core. good authentic music too.

I thourghly enjoyed this DVD and had a lot of fun learning the various dance moves. This is another great reason to have a fun get together with friends and family and learn something new. AAA+++++

Ordered DVD on Friday recieved on Monday! Excellent instruction. Perfect for total beginners. The warmup and the 5 five minute combinations will yield a nice 30 minute workout, you can choose music with voice over or just music. Great value for your money!

I have the luxury of living in Los Angeles and being a student of Jenna's. I had to take a 8 month break from class and utilized her DVDs. Not only did I not miss a beat I feel that I learned even more from her DVDs. Jenna is in my opinion the best belly dance teacher in the country. She knows how to teach and break down the movements in a way you can understand them. If I ever have to move away I know I can rely on the DVDs. I have bought many belly dance DVDs in the past year and NOTHING compares to Jenna's. For those who don't live in LA buy her DVDs it is EXACTLY the same as being in class. Her DVDs are really the only ones you need in your collection. I get compliments all of the time from other belly dancers on my technique and it is all due to Jenna. If you want to be a good belly dancer then buy her DVDs, she is an expert.
