AVP - Alien Vs. Predator - The Unrated Edition (Collector's Edition)
we all wanted to see this one, but unfortunately it was filmed mostly in the dark. What could be seen made for good movie, and it is well worth being in your collection. Maybe it deserved more stars. You may as well buy a used one,it's not like put in it on pause or slow motion will present you with any more detail. |

| My teeth look a little dull.....Anyone got a file? |
I have only one gripe with this film. It was MUCH too dark! I could hardly see anything without adjusting the TV set! Then things get washed out. It's like chasing a black cat on a moonless night with sunglasses on. I did see the occasional color change, and when the image got brighter, things began to get better. The action was good, pretty much non-stop. It's a good addition to the franchise, but better care has to be taken with it's production. This film could have made a better rating, except for the darkness. It's nice to be able to see what it is you're reviewing! Four stars. |

| There better be a better lit 3rd! |
Very Dark, but for fans like me worth the wait, not a big fan of the 1st movie, but this is the next big step on delivering what we have been hoping for since ALIENS... I would like to see the next one set in the city, to make up for the disappointing Predator 2... after CLOVERFIELD, I know they can pull it off. |

| Not REALLY entirely a "movie" |
By definition, a movie is "a motion picture." How can there be any motion when the entire screen is black? Even with all the lights out, and your equipment adjusted to enhance, the action you are able to see in this flick is confusing at best. Most of the time will be spent wondering what you are supposed to be looking at. The rest of the time will be spent wondering why the heck you should care - in addition to being pi**ed off because you spent good money on this mud. AVPR would be a great case study for future film students. This is what happens when artistic self-indulgence gets in the way of the story. You can't RELATE to the story on the screen if you can't SEE the story on the screen (like writing that story on white paper using white ink). Subjecting film students to mandatory viewing of this "movie" should drive the point home quite neatly. There are failures on all other levels, too. Due to the lack of comprehensive visuals, this could almost be repackaged as an audio book - if it wasn't for the shoddy writing and the sub-zero acting. "On earth everyone can hear you scream." They are screaming REFUND! |

| So Dark its not worth it. |
I liked the idea of the first one and it was OK, but this one was just a waste of money. I guess that budgets in Hollywood have gotten so bad that they can pay for lighting. I could not see anything that would make this film even the least bit worth owning. I am sorry that I even rented it. |
