Sony 3" Rewritable DVD+RW for Camcorders - 3pk

I agree with the previous reviewer. These DVD+RW disks are "the Dickens" to unwrap. I thought I could just cut along the edge and remove the disk, but NOOOOO, the plastic wrapping it seems was applied with heat to the 3 individual disk containers, which then again were shrink-wrapped with another layer of plastic. During the process, the plastic's molecular structure must have "affinitized" with the other layers of plastic covering, because instead of peeling the covering off in one piece of plastic, the plastic covering (first the 3-pack covering which covers all 3 disks) tears off in little pieces (not as a whole plastic covering), and then the individual disks themselves are shrink-wrapped, and they, too, do the same think. Talk about getting your consumers frustrated. These do work the best in my Sony HDR-UX10 and I give them 5 stars for performance and quality, but give them 1 star for the inconvenience of unwrapping the product. Just another unnecessary headache that Sony has created for its customers.

Excellent price for this product; 40% less than retail price in stores, even with shipping charge.

I bought a Sony DVD Video Recorder for a Christmas present. These are the only ones that work well with the recorder.

OK, so this product works but after ordering dozens of these for a week of training sessions we're going to be holding I could not possibly imagine how difficult it was going to be to unwrap these discs.

These 3 packs are actually 3 single packs, each one individually wrapped, then all 3 glued together somehow, then all 3 wrapped AGAIN, and best I can tell, wrapped a 3rd time.

This isn't your standard shrink wrap either, you NEED a knife or other sharp object to cut through 1 layer, you can't pull it apart or get ahold of it in any other way.

As you unwrap layer after layer of course it all falls to pieces, statically charged pieces that stick to your hands, your clothes, your desk, the floor- anything... It literally takes over 2 minutes to unwrap each 3 pack, and probably another 2 minutes to clean up the mess it makes.

I would hope there's some other company that makes these because I will never order them again. Stay clear of them at all costs- especially if it's a big order.

I thought maybe I just had a couple of poorly packed ones, but I ordered/bought more than 20 of these and every one has been the same issue.

Buy a sony dvd for your camera and you wont go wrong. I previously bought another brand and was very disappointed. I was not able to use any of the 10 dvds inside the pack.
