| Beautiful |
This TV is beautiful. I was skeptical at first about the Auto Motion 120Hz system, but have yet to experience any problems. There is a "Demo" mode, which shows Auto Motion ON and Auto Motion OFF on two halves of the TV, allowing you to compare. The Auto Motion 120Hz had a slightly improved image on my up-converted DVD source, though it'll take a Blu-ray test to be sure.
The best part was when I hooked my computer up and output at 1920x1080. My desktop looked crisp and clean, and after playing Unreal Tournament I've decided that this TV will also be my new computer monitor.
Even standard definition DVDs (played in a Samsung up-converter) look beautiful. I watched an episode of House and nearly soiled myself. The contrast, brightness, and vivid colors (I've never seen such a blue sky) were breathtaking.
I recommend this TV for any gamer, A/V geek, or lover of high quality movies. It's definitely a steal at the price, as compared to the 8-series LCD panel Samsung put out recently (tip: don't buy TVs with the LED light source - you'll get seaming.) |

| Good as Advertised...So Far |
I've had the TV for about two weeks now. I got a like new Refurbished 5271 unit for around 1750.00. CEVA delivery... well I will Speak of them later. The TV itself was basically new. The only way I could tell it had been returned was the bag in which the remote and model book were opened. The TV itself was spotless. Already has the newest firmware installed. 120Hz picture is very sharp and clean with just the cable wire hooked up. I get about 10 free HD channels with at 1080i with my basic cable that I use primarily for the internet and for TV in the kids rooms (as of now I have SD DirecTV... will order 1080P HD DirecTV before Football starts back). This TV puts my 32 LG (1 1/2 yrs old) to shame. PS3 Blue Ray is so clear and realistic, it takes getting used to. I have had no TBE problems watching NBA playoffs or PS3 gaming UT3/GTA IV). TV took about 2 weeks to deliver after purchase(I was advised via email that they were out of like new/refurbished units). CEVA Delivery called on a Monday morning at 8am and stated that they could deliver that day between 10am-3pm. I took off work to stay home for the delivery. They called back at 12:30 and stated that the TV was not put on the truck. I ended up traveling about 30 miles to their delivery site to pick the unit up myself as to not have to take another day off. I still gave the TV 5 stars despite the poor delivery service I encountered. NOTE: I kept the box just in case of any problems and will register the product with Samsung soon. |

| Finally! |
I should have bought this during Xmas but I assumed the price would keep dropping, I was wrong. I had to wait another 4 months until it dropped back down to $2,300. I snagged it up without hesitation. Though I was aware of the dead pixel line that plagued the other reviewers, I was going to take a chance (plus it came with a free Samsung upconverter and free shipping, which was not offered before).
It arrived via CEVA freight (formerly Eagle shipping) a week later. They delivered it first thing in the morning, unboxed it, put it on my stand and powered it up for me. No damage and no dead pixels. Boy was i relieved.
I don't have a Bluray yet but the Comcast HD movies look great! Even the Blue Planet DVD version with the upconverter looked amazing!
I hope it'll last. I kept the box just in case. |

| Buyer Beware |
Great technology, and a fantastic TV while it works. I was truly amazed at the video quality from this unit. Unfortunately great ideals are not followed up by superior materails, workmanship or customer service. After 90 days, my unit like many others I have read about began to develop a line of dead pixles in the screen. It started as a 2 inch vertical line to the right side of the panel, and within a few days grew from top to bottom. Amazon was great, they did what they could do, but they are not the manaufacturer. When I contacted Samsung, I requested an exchange as it is only 90 days old and I thought a repair would not be justified. They will not stand behind the product, they will only send a sublet repair tech to my home to replace the LCD panel, and I have to have it removed fromt the wall and reinstalled at my own expense. The bottom line is, stick with Sony or Panasonic. These units have superior workmanship, value and durability. To send someone to my home, make me pay $200.00 to remove the unit from the wall, tear apart a brand new TV and throw parts at it is horrible customer service. It is being penny wise and dollar foolish at the expense of countless consumers. Oh...to make matters even worse, read the other reviews here, after the repair it happens again and again.... No wonder they just released LNT52a650. |

| Everything You Could Want in a TV!! |
We saw the LNT5271F at Best Buy and fell in love with the amazing picture. You feel like you are actually there rather than watching the action. Everyone who sees our Samsung is jealous. Can't see how any TV can have a better picture, no matter what brand or price. Although the sound is very good, we went the whole nine yards and added a Yamaha surround sound system and a PlayStation 3 Blu-ray system. We ordered our Samsung online from Amazon and were very pleased with the price ($1,000 cheaper than Best Buy) and delivery. Don't be fooled by other online companys. If they are cheaper than Amazon, they are dropping your TV at the curb or not including everything with the TV. (One company wanted $300 for the pedestal stand that is shown in the picture. Guess we were supposed to take turns holding it up while the other person watched.) This is the best purchase we have ever made. We are in TV-viewing heaven! |
