Palm Z22 Handheld

I bought a Z22 and I left it to charge for a long period of time. It died. I am not sure what the cause is, but I got a Palm IIIxe that is performing wonderfully.

This was my first PDA, so my research was extensive. It doesn't take pictures, it doesn't play mp3's, and you can't text message. The Z22 will, however, organize your life. Besides the great organizer, the unit is equipped with an "exel" like, mobile database software, which allows you to load very useful tables and spreadsheets. The Z22 is also compatible with Spacetime, which turns your pda into an advanced calculus computer, like a TI-89 for half the price. By the way, this product is completely compatible with Vista, you just have to turn some administrative stuff off.

Great price and great product. Very easy to use. Can use without having to read instructions first. My only complaint is that the alarm is far too quite to be of any use ! I am forced to have to use my cell phone for appointments and such I want an alarm reminder. BAD- as I bought the PDA to avoid using the phone for information storage, etc. If there was any way to fix it internally so that the alarm rang loud enough (like a cell phone alarm does) to wake you up at 3-6 inches from your head. It fails miserably in the alarm dept.BUT the rest of it is almost perfect.

The Palm Z22 has been a great PDA for me. I had a PalmOne black & white and loved it until it broke. Replaced it with an expensive DellAxim that worked well but had problems getting it to sync with my work system. Gave the Dell to my husband and got the Z22 and it is perfect for my needs. I just wanted a calendar and contact list and the Z22 does this beautifully. The battery life is awesome. I've had it over 2 months and it only gets charged when I'm in the sync process and it is still at 100%! If you want just a plain PDA with color, the Palm Z22 is the way to go!

I love this PDA. It's small but mostly screen, holds a lot of info and the calendar alarm is a lifesaver. I also have Scrabble downloaded onto it and am totally addicted to playing it. Unfortunately, this is my second Palm Z22, having dropped my first after 18 months, but I liked the product so much I bought exactly the same one...but I made sure to buy the rubber flexicase I saw offered in "other products others have bought with" section. It allows me a better grip on this very slick cased product. Fortunately, because of the computer CD that allows you to keep everything on your desktop as well, I was able to download all my info into the new one in minutes. Should I break this one, well, the price is too good to pass up buying another.
