Logitech Wireless DJ Music System

I took it out of the box and it was up in running in less than 10 mins. Most of that time was spent waiting for it to index my music files. I did NOT follow the recommended guidelines of placing the various items far enough away from other devices (wireless router is next to the tranmitter) and it still works flawlessly.

I am using it to stream music to a reciever in my basement that runs my outdoor speakers. I can sit on the deck and choose my music with the remote. Now if only Logitech made something that would bring me a drink!

I noticed it uses a lot of memory so you may want to upgrade a bit. I am running a P4 3.0GHz with 2GB of RAM and it holds up well.

This is a great product. If you don't need the color screen and subscription services of the Squeezebox go for this winner. Send your entire MP3 and internet radio collection to any radio in the house!!!

I took it out of the box, loaded the software, plugged it in, and picked my songs. The speakers were a cheap set of Logitech R20's, and they sounded unbelievable! The hardest part of the whole setup was putting the battery in the remote control. I'm running the sound off my laptop while I'm doing some heavy duty Gimp artwork and a desktop was downloading a 600 MB file @ 250Kb over the network, and, yes, it occasionally dropped a note or two. I purchased the product expecting to play music from my laptop using my Sony home entertainment system. The concept and design of this product is good. A receiver connected to my home entertainment system, a transmitter connected to my laptop, and a remote to control the music. It took only a few minutes to get everything setup, connected and playing music. I was at first very excited when the music played. However, in the span of not even finish playing one song, I already heard two or three skips in the song. My setup is simple. The receiver and the transmitter are approximately 9 feet apart in an open room. Yes I do have a wireless router around it but approx three feet apart. In my case, I already have a decent PC speaker system setup so it was not worth it to use this considering that is skips so easily.

SOUNDS BETTER THAN THE IPOD WITH THE DOCKING STATION CONNECTED TO YOUR STEREO, BUT LINK SYS MUSIC BRIDGE SOUND MUCH BETTER THAN LOGITECH WIRELESS DJ HOME THEATER. BUT LINK SYS WORK WITH IN CONJUCTION WITH WIRELESS ROUTER NO INTERNET NO MUSIC. WITH LOGITECH WIRELESS DJ HOME THEATER YOU DON'T NEED TO OPEN I-TUNES OR WINDOW MUSIC MEDIA PLAYER OR MUSICMACH ON THE CONTROL REMOTE IS LIKE TO CONTROL AN IPOD
REAL GOOD DEVICE. FOR THOSE AUDIOPHILE WHO GAVE A BAD RATING SHOULD THINK BETTER BEFORE OPEN THE MOUTH BECAUSE THE ONLY GOOD QUALITY SOUND COMES FROM WAVE AT 1411 KBPS AND ON MP3 IS 320 KBPS AND THE BEST RECORDED MUSIC
