| For its design, it's great |
When I was young, I had a base CB and a regular rooftop mounted antenna for the automobile CB. Now that I'm older and travel extensively sometimes, I decided to get this model for simplicity. I can listen to the chatter while driving or get updated storm info. on the weather channels. Sure, a rooftop mounted antenna will greatly increase your ranges on both the transmissions and receiving ends but now you're talking wires and a greater possibility of theft, too bad about the thieves though. Again, this model is just fine if you just want to listen, but it is not designed to be like a regular mobile unit. I even turn it on occasionally in my apartment to listen to emergency chn. 9 plus the other channels. Having that emergency (9) chn. can be advantageous down the road, even if you have to stop and get out of vehicle. Overall, it's worth the price... |

| Good product but needs some things. . . |
Overall, a good product, but needs a rechargeable battery pack and needs to be able to pick up and transmit at further distances. This product didn't even transmit or pick up transmission more than a quarter of a mile away. |

| cobra hh 38 wxst cb radio |
I'm sorry to say but this is a very disappointing radio from cobra. it is very stylish ,but thats it. it lack power/modulation will not key its advertised 4watts regardless, and will pick up noise from everywhere while in a moving vechicle. you would be better off buying a regular cb radio. this one is a waste of money. |
