| Not For Me |
While the concept of womb simulation/sound has been proven successful, this bear is not. The bear is super soft and of course, cute, and I like the idea of it covering the electronics of the sound machine. However, it quit working properly after only 3 weeks. I had it in my son's play yard, where he slept while in our room, and it worked great. When we set up his nursery and moved him to his "big boy" room, I set up the bear in his crib. Since then, it keeps shutting off within a minute or less. I can't figure out why. To be honest, I haven't spent a lot of time trying to fix it, but I don't think I should have to...being that it is less than a month from purchase. And having a newborn, I don't have the time to have to worry about it.
It is disappointing that it isn't working now. It wasn't that expensive, so it's not worth my time to return it or call the manufacturer. We'll just use the cuddly bear without the sounds. I personally would recommend some other "white noise" (etc.) machine.
That all said, maybe it's just my bad luck??? It was recommended to me, so I guess that person had great success with it. I purchased it to encourage my son to sleep in his bed during the daytime. He sleeps fine through the night but only sleeps 10 minutes at a time during the day unless I am holding him. Unfortunately, this item did not help our dilemma. I didn't hurt anything, but I feel it was an unnecessary purchase and I could've used the money for something else. |
