| Without question, the BEST crib music product out. |
My newborn is like most other newborns, in that she is both fascinated and soothed by music and light. Well, good news for iPod (and most other MP3) owners, because this product offers both, and at an INCREDIBLE price.
For $20 beans, you've got a very good (not Bose quality of course)crib-attachable speaker system which you can hook up an iPod to, AND it emits an alternating series of colored lights.
I put a playlist for my daughter together with Baby Einstein songs, and Mozart and other classical pieces, and along with the lights, she's pretty much in baby-bliss when she's in the crib (assuming she's not hungry or in need of a diaper change).
The cool thing is, unlike a crib CD player, you don't have to worry about changing CD's, because of the convenience of MP3 compression.
Just make a large playlist for your child, plug it in, hit play, and worry no more. It even has a timer, so that you don't kill the batteries.
Speaking of batteries, that's another convenience. No worries about dangerous wires hanging in and out of your baby's crib.
This is a must-have, and the ONLY reason NOT to get one, is if you don't own an MP3 player of any kind.

| Nice, but some problems |
The iCrib is a good idea, but I agree with others that the lack of an AC power source is a big drawback. When the batteries run down, the unit emits a loud buzzing sound -- not good for a sleeping baby! I thought it might be just the one I had and got a replacement, but the second one did the same thing. I don't really use the light feature. Even with the problems, I still use it every night and it seems to help put my little one to sleep. |

| watch the straps |
I bought this item for my godson who loves music. I first put it on his playpen and he was really happy with it. The only problem was when I tried to attach it to the crib I found that the straps were too short. The crib has a 2-3 inch ledge at the very top. I contacted Munchkin customer service and although they responded quickly, they were not very helpful at all. In fact, I was told to go and get longer straps:( Seems like it needs to be more versatile to fit wider cribs. Also, I am a little concerned that a very active baby could get to the mp3 player on the other side (not very secure). overall, a great concept. I would love to see an updated version to address these concerns. |

| Fantastic crib sound system |
This product has been an absolute life-saver. Our daughter preferred one particular kind of music and we were able to create a playlist with several hours of the same song that we could play on repeat via this system, which straps safely and securely to the crib. The volume can easily be controlled on the ipod, and it is easy to turn on and off. The reviews have already made note of the two downsides of the product, 1) the fact that it does not turn off the ipod; 2) it runs on batteries. These are minor issues, are not inconvenient, and both have simple solutions. Charge your ipod regularly (every other day) - but ipods generally have a long battery life. As for the AA batteries, we have been using the icrib religiously for over three weeks and only replaced the 4 AA batteries for the first time yesterday. Furthermore, using an AC adaptor would have a wire running along the crib, which would be a dangerous safety risk, so the AA batteries are worth it for your child's safety. I honestly cannot recommend this product enough, for the price it is absolutely better than any separate sound system. And it allows you to offer consistency to your baby with the same soothing playlist that you can carry around with your ipod when you travel too! |

| Volume Problems |
We thought this was a great idea but we found that it's impossible to get the volume down low enough. The volume on our I-pod is down nearly all the way, and still the music blasts out of the speakers. We have to use it on the far side of the room, or cover it with a heavy blanket to keep the sound down. |
