| great high chair, only a couple small problems. |
We have been using this high chair for about 4 months. I like the pattern of the chair and the colors. It blends in nice with our home. The picture if a bit deceiving though... the "fabric" part of the chair is actually plastic and ha a big graco logo (not in picture). It serves it's purpose but I just didn't expect it to look like it does based on the picture.
The tray isn't as sturdy as I would like either. Don't get me wrong... it is ok. My sister just has a really high quality high chair and it's tray is much more sturdy. Other than that it is great! |

| for me this thing is a monstrosity |
I bought this when pregnant for my now 2yr old thinking it would be a space saver for our smallish kitchen as is folds up for storage. Turns out we never used that feature because we use the high chair too often to bother with folding & storing, only to drag it out & unfold it a few hours later. It is really a pain to move it around the room or just reposition, which we need to do all the time. It has an awkward design with huge, splayed legs that we always seem to manage to trip over or kick with our toes (pain). Rolling it is like trying to drag a stubborn horse, almost as if it has a free will and is literally trying everything to keep from going where I want it. I usually end up dragging other furniture or toys along with it as they get snared by the 50 ft "wing span" of the legs. I hate it. But I am NOT buying a new one for baby #2 (due in Aug) b/c I need my money for other stuff. This will have to suffice. If I had it to do over I would get the Peg Perego, or another highly rated chair, not this freakish thing. |

| Great chair and customer service |
We bought this chair for our little one. The design and construction quality is great. It is fully adjustable and the baby loves it. The chair that we got, arrived damaged but instead of returning it called Graco and they immediately sent us the spare parts to swap. 100% statified with their customer service and fast shipping on the parts. I am convinced Graco is a company that wants to take care of its customers and make things right if something does goes wrong. Very, very pleased. Will continue to buy Graco products. |

| Stylish, yet functional |
I really like this highchair. I bought it for two reasons--one it matches my decor and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I cannot stand all those baby prints! Secondly it folds remarkably flat, which, admittedly, we haven't done, but I don't think its that big of a deal since it blends in so well! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the footrest seems to be only for looks. My daughter is only 6 months, but the way it is recessed I don't believe she will ever be able to make use of it. I'm sure this is a drawback of it being able to fold down so slim. I also really like that it is on wheels, and the seat cover is a soft, plastic that is easy to wipe down and keep clean, yet soft and comfortable for her to sit in. I haven't had a big enough mess to have to wash it in the washing machine yet, but it looks as though it will wash well. I also recommend purchasing the optional mix 'n move toys that will fit on the tray--they are more entertaining to her that I would have thought, and they don't end up on the floor all of the time! |

| Graco Contemp Kasbah |
I ordered the Graco Contempo highchair in Kasbah due to its favorable ratings and reviews which I've read. This is for my third child and the second high chair which I've owned. My previous high chair was the expensive Peg Perego Prima Pappa chair (2002 model). That chair warped and yellowed in the heat of my attic between my second and third children (while in storage), so we had to discard it recently.
I like the Graco Contempo highchair for the price, and it has all the features which seem like it will be functional and easy to use. Everything works like advertised with recline, height, folding, etc. I like that the child sits closer to the tray than the Peg Perego, since that was my major complaint with that chair (food was always in his lap, and tray was too high and far away).
Overall, Graco contempo pros and cons:
Pros:
1. easy to use and has all major features of upscale highchairs
2. price is competitive for its features
3. Kasbah pattern is very designer and neutral
4. folds easily and narrowly
5. tray scoots very close to child
6. Mix n' move toys can be attached to undertray
7. 5 point harness
8. wheels around easily
Cons:
1. overall seems a bit less sturdy in construction than the more expensive Peg Perego ($229). A bit more wobbly and lighter weight tubing in legs, tray shakes a bit more when attached than the Peg Perego model.
2. Seat cover is a bit "plastic" feeling instead of the more oilcloth fabric I expected
3. There is an oval applique with "Graco" behind the child's head which doesn't show in the sample pictures. It would look more designer without the logo there.
4. Footrest seems like it is too far back to be useful, even when my child gets tall enough to reach it. It is not adjustable.
Overall, I'm satisfied for the price. It looks good and works easily. It wasn't worth paying $229 (more than twice as much) for the Peg Perego again since I had major problems with that chair too (tray too high, tray too far away from closest seatback position, tray stained easily).
Worth $99 -- You probably won't have any complaints if you're not comparing it to a former chair that cost over $200 like I was.
