| Quality not as good as expected |
We bought this item for our four months old daughter to make her transition to her own crib a little "brighter". Initially, we had wanted to get some sort of light for our daughter's room during the night. Every time she laid on her back she seemed to be fascinated by anything lid up on the ceiling, so we thought this little toy was perfect. After reading a lot of the reviews I was convinced this toy was just what we had been looking for. The ceiling in our daughter's room is a little higher than normal, so the projected stars are really blurry. We have been setting the turtle on the lower edge of her crib, so that it is closer to the ceiling, but it is just as blurry. The amber color, that looks closest to a night sky is hardly visible. The other two colors are not as natural looking and come across a little like a neon light. Anyway, I wouldn't really recommend this light, unless you have some way to set this turtle close to the ceiling in the center of the room. |

| A lovely shower/birthday gift |
This item is adoreable, hand-painted, and very unique. I gave it as a birthday gift for my friend's one-year-old. They seemed to enjoy the gift and I have heard rave reviews from other friends with children who have used it. Also, I've heard that even somewhat older kids enjoy having it on to sleep at night. So it would be a nice gift even for a 4 or 5 year-old child. |

I got this as a gift at my baby shower. It's neat, but I don't know how much we'll actually use it. I prefer a regular nightlight, so it pretty much just sits on a shelf.
It's cute, though. :)
