| works!!! |
I have a 2000 model GMC Sierra, and it developed small leaks of coolant about 3 years after having the vehicle. I could not find where the leaks came from. It would not leak while driving or vehicle at running temp. It would leak only after cool down or sitting for a day or two.
At first the leak very minor, but as time went on got worse and especially during cold months would leak and leave a trail. Dealer wanted over $350 to fix leaks at gaskets and "freeze plugs". I declined as the leaks were more annoyance than a critical problem. I finally thought of trying a stop leak, and Prestone I thought would be the most reliable. It works. One 14oz added to overflow tank and driving till reached operating temp did the trick. No leaks now for 3 days. I rate excellent at this time assuming I don't run into any kind of after effects or starts leaking again. I will update at late date if that happens. But for now it works. M L Barnes |
